Religious Education News

I would like to thank Steve Coburn, Al Spittler and the Coming of Age youth for doing a thorough cleaning of the Nursery room. Our newest members appreciate it! The room looks so clean and shiny…thank you for the great work!

In February, we went back to our classrooms to work on our curriculums! We will continue working on it throughout March. The Friendship Club (children preschool-kindergarten) will be exploring picture books that correspond to our 7 principles and do fun activities! The Rainbow Seekers (children grades 1-2) will continue exploring A Bucketful of Dreams and do some wonderful projects! The Chalice Children (children grades 3-6) will continue working on more stories from Timeless Themes and work together on group building projects! The COA (Coming of Age) youth (grades 7-9) will also spend time working on their end of the year service.

We are still working on Pennies for Peace so…PLEASE BRING IN PENNIES FOR OUR PIGGY BANKS. THEY ARE LOCATED ALL OVER THE CHURCH. ASK A RE STUDENT OR THE DRE FOR THE LOCATIONS!

Religious Education Committee Sponsored Events

The REC committee will have a craft table making bracelets and a snack table making trail mix at the Family Fun Fair on Saturday, March 6^th from 11 am- 2 pm. Please let me know if you are interested in helping out at the event.

The February Potluck was a lot of fun! We ate a lot of hot dogs, red treats and fortune cookies! We also decorated squares for the Milford Community Quilt! A big thank you goes out to Romey Connelly and family for the wonderful hot dogs and the opportunity to work on the quilt.

The Religious Education Committee meets the second Sunday every month at 11:30. Please stop by to see what we are up to. We are working on the summer and fall curriculums… let us know what you think!
