Religious Education News

In December…the pageant was wonderful! I am so proud of our wonderful cast: Charlie Brown- Matt Spittler, Lucy- Shea McNamara, Linus- Mark David Murphy, Snoopy- Zachary Robertson, Sally- Abbie McNamara, Peppermint Patty- Cameryn Farwell, Pigpen- Jacoby Robertson, Woodstock- Logan Robertson, Violet- Becca Furtado, and Shermy- Nick Farwell. The children did a wonderful job. The service was just the right length for our younger participants & audience members. But next year we will pick easier songs! Coffee hour was also fun. We had our annual visit from the man in the red suit. The children were able to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. A big THANK YOU goes out to the wonderful parents who helped support our pageant: Heather Robertson, Monica Trombetta & Beth Farwell!

The children also enjoyed doing LOTS of holiday arts & crafts during RE. We had a lot of fun preparing for the holidays.

Sunday, December 4th FUUM/CCC hosted a table at the Jingle Bell Jamboree at the Milford Youth Center. We had many little friends make jingle bracelets!

Saturday, December 10th we had a family friendly craft day. Many friends came to make ornaments to use as holiday gifts.

In January… the Friendship Club (Children preschool-kindergarten), the Rainbow Seekers (Children grades 1-4) & the COA (Coming of Age Youth: grades 5-8) will work together on a group project. On New Year’s Day the children will choose a service project. We will work on the project throughout January.

Save the date:  Palmer Family Chiropractic, Creative Community Childcare and 4 Better Health are proud to be sponsors of the Family Dinner Night.  This is a charitable event helping to build a stronger, safer and healthier community.  The money raised will go toward the Milford Playground Initiative to build a new playground for Milford and the surrounding area communities.   For more information on the Milford Play Initiative, visit http://www.milfordplayinitiative.org/.  On Wednesday, January 18th at 5:30 PM, families of Greater Milford will come together to enjoy a healthy dinner and participate in fun, interactive, and healthy activities in Ballou Hall.

If you are looking for me, I am always available by phone or e-mail. Thank you for all of your help and support. Please call, e-mail or meet with me if you have any questions, comments or concerns…Dianne Spittler, M. Ed.~ Director of Religious Education
